“This image of Eve and Matt was taken at the Glasgow Necropolis on their elopement. The couple asked to have their photos taken there as they loved the place and thought it a fitting backdrop for their style. The Necropolis has wonderful views of the city as well as beautiful Victorian monuments and tombs and, as such,
is a big tourist attraction. Finding somewhere away from the crowds and even other wedding couples was a challenge. I spotted this tree and the birds that looked just like one of Eve’s beautiful tattoos, and they stood there a while whilst we waited for the birds to fly in and out of the tree and to let a few tourists pass by. I really
like how it worked out and that you can see the high rise buildings of Glasgow looming in the background. It sums up the Necropolis for me, a sort of unkempt raw beauty with a hint of the sinister.”

Lisa Devlin: “I liked this shot because it’s not an obvious ‘elopement’ image, rather it’s edgy but also intimate.”

Guest Judge Neil Thomas Douglas:

“I loved this shot as well and it has a beautiful feel to it while the composition is bang on as well!”
