The internationaly acclaimed photographer Clive Arrowsmith had the incredible honour of spending an afternoon photographing Sir Paul McCartney in the mid 1970’s with some of the guitars from his incredible collection. In this video above, Clive recollects his time with McCartney and their discussion about the guitars.

Clive first met McCartney when he was twenty and he didn’t think either of them could have imagined what was ahead of them. At the time Paul was in a band called the Quarry Men when he was at art college in Queensferry, which then evolved into The Beatles. Clive would head to Liverpool at the weekends. He says “It was so amazing to see how much joy he took in each instrument. The best concert I have ever attended.”
